SEX and CULTURE (*)

(*) The French  pun 'Cul'  <>. 'Cul-ture' has no English equivalent.  'Cul' means 'butt', 'ass', but , very familiarly, it can also  mean 'sex' in such phrases as  'Photos de cul' >  sex photos or 'histoires de cul' > sex stories. Hence my translation as Sex and Culture.

Les nouvelle pages "CUL et CUL-ture" vont  peut-être surprendre certains. Il faut que vous sachiez que je suis historien de  formation et  que mon goût pour l'histoire ne m'a jamais quitté.  Par ailleurs, j'aime bien les garçons (vous vous en doutiez, évidemment) et l'idée m'est venue d'allier mes deux  passions et centres d'interêts, l'histoire et le sexe... J'ai donc commencé à préparer  quelques pages historico-érotiques, ou érotico- historiques, pour évoquer des faits survenus dans le passé qui pourraient passer pour un peu chauds ou  égrillards. Le résultat sera certainement plus 'intellectuel' que chaud et cochonou... mais peut-être  surprenant.   A bientôt, même si je  comprends bien que ce genre de pages ne plaira pas à tous. J'espère tout de même que quelques-uns parmi vous  apprécieront  là un angle original et un peu inattendu pour s'intéresser aux bogosses et minets...

The new pages ‘Sex and Culture’ may surprise some. You must know that I am a historian by training and that the love of history has never left me. Furthermore, I like boys (you guessed that, of course) and the idea came to me to combine my two passions and interests, history and sex... So I've  prepared a few historical-erotic (or erotic-historical) pages to evoke events from the past that could be considered a little risqué or bawdy. The result will certainly be more “intellectual” than hot and naughty... but perhaps surprising.   Hoping to see you soon, even though I am aware that this kind of page will not appeal to everyone. I still hope that some of you will appreciate this original and somewhat unexpected angle on handsome men and twinks.
